Aviation Outlook Webinar with Embry-Riddle Alumnus Steve Nordlund Vice President and General Manager of Phantom Works at The Boeing Company
Steve Nordlund is the voice of The Boeing Company when it comes to urban air mobility. From research, to the safe integration of airspace, to private-public collaboration, he has led teams at Boeing that are at the forefront of urban mobility development, tackling the technology, acceptance and economics that will drive its future. He is a great advocate for emerging technologies that will change the way we live and for Embry-Riddle graduates in particular, innovation that will inspire careers.

Nordlund just accepted a new position at The Boeing Company as Vice President and General Manager of Phantom Works for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security. He had been the vice president and general manager of Boeing NeXt, a business division he launched, dedicated to building a safe, sustainable and seamless future mobility ecosystem, ranging from electric air taxis to high-speed transport. Since joining Boeing in 2009, Nordlund has held business development, business line and strategy leadership positions across the enterprise, including his role as vice president of Autonomous Systems for Boeing Defense, Space & Security.

In addition to being a graduate of Embry-Riddle, Nordlund served and the Chief Informatio0n Officer at the University for 8 years and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management from Embry-Riddle and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He is a licensed pilot and is involved in volunteer work related to non-profit educational organizations.
